"Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Why did you start your business?

I worked in the catering business when in high school and college. While living in Los Angeles, I was working at a catering job for a Hollywood movie premiere. I remember walking into the event and having my “aha” moment - thinking, “Someone had to orchestrate this entire project – all the moving parts – every detail.” In that moment, I knew I wanted to be that person, that I could be that person…the one who brings all the elements of a project together. Since that day, my projects have included President William Clinton’s Inauguration, Elizabeth Taylor’s perfume launch, American Cancer Society events, producing cultural programming in schools, and working on a myriad of non-profit, corporate, artistic, political and individual events and projects. It is fulfilling and rewarding work!

Biggest Achievement so far.....

Working on President Clinton’s Inauguration. Producing two concerts with Jon Batiste in the schools. Raising $1 million for vital cancer services, education and support at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Raising funds and brand awareness for the revitalization of the Port Washington Children’s Library.

Greatest Lesson Learned....

Undervaluing my skills and experience…thinking, “Anyone can do what I do.” When in fact, few can do what I do or have the eye for the business in the way that I do. Coming to believe in myself and in my abilities continues to be empowering and has actually helped to propel my business.

Person, Place or Thing that inspires you

My parents inspire and influence me. With a smile and a helping hand. My mom was a teacher and a creativity consultant for corporations. Her mantra: IWWMI – “In What Way Might I?” rather than saying, “I can’t” or “no”, has always been folded into my business approach. My dad ran a dental practice in Port Washington for 50 years…that’s a lot of smiles! He listens intently, asks many questions and then, asks, “How can I be of help?” They both continue to give of their time and talent to those in need.

Words to Foster others....

Do not overthink it. Launch and learn. If you are passionate about your business and your message, that will shine through. Walk unapologetically through the world!
