Everything happens for a reason. Everything leads to something better.

Why did you start your business?

Mostly, because I wanted to have a hand's-on creative job that was always changing. I have always been fascinated with houses and realizing the potential in a space, and I just love reinventing old tired rooms into beautiful spaces that bring so much comfort and happiness.

Biggest Achievement so far.....

Hitting my financial goals and realizing how hard I've worked to build a business that has evolved from a part-time gig to a stable, growing company with a steady stream of clients.

Greatest Lesson Learned....

You can't do everything! The more hats I wore, the more stress I carried with me. Outsourcing is key. Hiring people to do the things that took me away from my fulfilling, creative work was the best lesson I ever learned.

Person, Place or Thing that inspires you

Water + nature in general. I have always been drawn to and feel most at home on the beach or on a boat. And our Manhasset Bay sunsets are so breathtaking!

Words to Foster others....

A dear friend's mother told me years ago when we were single, that "there's a lid for every pot." I found that quote to be true and relevant in almost every area of my life. If something doesn't feel right, let it go - another, better fitting opportunity/person will come along. And when you work in a field where there are so many talented designers, I realize we're really all colleagues because "there's a lid for every pot!" There's enough work to go around.
