"Nothing leaders do is more important than hiring and developing people. At the end of the day you bet on people, not on strategies."

Why did you start your business?

I started my business so that I could have more freedom, creativity and flexibility. I felt ready when the opportunity presented itself because I had been working in the staffing field for many years in a variety of environments and felt confident that I could do it. I didn’t fully realize the potential of what making this decision meant at the time and eventually learned that starting a business can be an endeavor that can grow and change with your life. For me, it was invaluable to work in a way that was flexible and could allow me to be there for my family. Now that my kids are older, I love how there is room for more growth and learning and I enjoy how my business stretches me to try new things and take risks. Ultimately, I enjoy helping people land jobs and I enjoy working with clients to build their company culture. It feels like a natural extension of who I am and how I enjoy helping people!

Biggest Achievement so far.....

My biggest achievement are the relationships and network I have built over the years. The service I provide allows me to really get to know people and support them in a life changing process, landing their next job. I get the chance to be a coach/cheerleader/sounding board/supporter/advisor and we go on a bit of a journey together! It makes my heart feel full to think of all of the people I have worked with over the years and how lucky I am to be connected to such an incredible network of intelligent, creative and innovative professionals.

Greatest Lesson Learned....

Some of my most challenging projects have ended up being learning experiences that helped me become better at what I do and created an even greater connection and respect for my clients and their businesses through our work together. Don’t give up when things get difficult. Be relentless and on the other side of that is often an incredible and rewarding experience.

Person, Place or Thing that inspires you

Without a doubt, each of my children (I have 4!). I love hearing their perspective on things and what it’s like to be in their shoes; growing up nowadays is no easy feat. Every once in a while, I’ll get validation that I’m doing a good job with them and that means everything to me.

Words to Foster others....

I have a quote in my home that says “In a World Where You Can Be Anything, Be Kind”. It sounds a little cliché, but it is so important, especially in the profession I’m in, where I’m interacting with people all the time. When you have an opportunity to leave your mark with someone and they feel better by having interacted with you, that’s success.
